I'm from Florida, my kids were born in Ct. their father and I both lived in Ct together. He has since moved to Mass. He pays court ordered child support and sees kids most times.. every other weekend. Has no contact with children in between. We don't have a court order for custody. Can I move back to Florida where my family is?
If you do, he will have every right to file a motion to require you to return with the kids, or at least have the kids returned to him. File a motion to relocate and do things the right way.
