Can a person hire more than one attorney and from two different law firm's? Yes. A person can hire a whole city full of lawyers.
You can, but I think each attorney should be broadly aware of the arrangement with the other. Both need to confirm that s/he has no conflict of interest that might prevent him/her from representing you ethically. Also, the scope of legal representation should be well defined and in writing, so as to not cause confusion between the two attorneys representing you, or between your side and opposing counsel. Best regards.
