The baby's mother had my grandson's ears pierced at 6 months old without asking my son. At the time the parents shared custody. My son did not approve and took the earings out. The holes closed up. I , the grandmother, have custody of the baby who is 1 year old now. The mother told me she intends to get the baby's ear's pierced again.
Unless there is an agreement precluding the parent from piercing the child's ears without the consent of the other parent, this is acceptable.
