I do not have any outstanding traffic tickets, etc. I did not go to a small claims court hearing because I never was sent a notice or date to appear. The lawyer got a summary judgement against me because I was not in there in small claims court. 2 years later, she had my drivers license suspended because I did not pay. Isn't it true that the offense has to be related to TRAFFIC court or non-payment of child support to have a person's license suspended in GA?
In my state, Illinois, that is one method used to "encourage" payment of a civil judgment. Speaking to a local attorney about enforcement of civil judgments in GA would be a good idea.
In Alabama it can be done in traffic accident cases.
