I tried to pay my rent today, 4th of March, by money order. The office had a note on the door drop box saying do not drop rent or it will be marked late- no one in the office until the 6th. The rent has a grace period to the 5th.
The post office by me is closed (only open for 1 hour Saturday mornings) by the time I learn of this note, I am disabled and can't drive, my boyfriend is outbound for work, and there is no post on Sundays. I have a mailing address for a city 6 hours away, but again... can't Mail until the 6th now, which is late.
Tried to drop rent on the 4th and have no options now to pay before rent is considered late.
Can they do this?
