Due to recently being disabled and unable to work I was late with the rent a few times and i received a 60 day notice and then a eviction notice, i paid owner 5000.00 divided into 2 payments plus court costs of 500.00 after i talked to owner then he says i can stay, last week i get a call saying i need to be out by the first of the year, since he said i could stay i had not been looking for another place, i need more time and does owner have to serve with a eviction notice again?
If the 60 day notice was not based on non payment of rent then the landlord may have a right to evict you at this point that the 60 days has expired. You should seek the advice of an AVVO attorney who provides free consultations. If you think this answer is BEST or HELPFUL PLEASE MARK SUCH.
