Can a home insurance company mail you a check and then stop payment a few days later?
The insurance company mailed a check which I deposited into my bank account,on Nov 27 2019, on Dec 2 2019 the check has," return check stop pay." on my bank account website.
This has caused me tremendous anxiety.
I want to be in good standing with my bank, now I have a fee for the check returned.
I believe this is not legal in many ways.

Yes, the insurance obviously can do it. However, it is not clear from the information provided that they did it for proper reasons. You should inquire.
