A felon can work for any employer who chooses to hire him. You need to contact the NFL sports agencies to find out if they have a policy against hiring felons.

I can only speak to FL (and even then in this context I'm limited...).
Florida is an "at will" employment state, meaning that, absent an employment contract, you can be hired or not hired, or hired and then fired for any reason or for no reason, so long as it is not for an illegal reason (i.e. race, sex, etc), and no one but the potential employer can tell you what that potential employer will or will not do.
The bad news is that a potential employer in FL is probably perfectly free not to hire you simply because of your prior criminal history, even if it is out of State and was dismissed and expunged.
If you want more thorough information then I suggest that you reach out to employment / labor lawyers.
You might also consider opening a dialogue with the NFL.
