A friend is in jail bc of a DOC violation. He had his hearing 2 weeks ago & the DHO gave him credit time served. However, another facility had him on a warrant hold & he went for that court hearing and they gave him 20 days. So, his DOC violation time is done and he is now taking care of his other charge. He was suppose to get out yesterday but the jail said that his CCO faxed over a warrant to hold him bc he got in trouble while in there and his CCO is trying to re-violate him. Does his CCO have grounds to do this even though he finished his time for his DOC violation and was doing time for his other charge from another facility???
Yes, it is quite possible that he would face additional time for a different violation from elsewhere.
