I'm on a payment plan with debt colloctor started in January was not notified they would take taxes but they ended up taking all of it
They can't take or intercept a tax refund, but they may have a lien against you and can take from the bank account where the refund was deposited. If this violated your collection agreement, you should contact a consumer debt/consumer rights attorney to defend you.
