I received an email from the U.S.Consulate in Canada to submit my passport for H4 visa issuance. My application was under administrative processing under 221 (g) and my passport was given back to me after interview. I returned to US with my F1 valid visa after interview. I am now in US and figuring out if I can courier my passport and get my passport collected by a friend who is Canadian resident and he can in-turn courier my passport back to U.S? is this legal or should I go to Canada in –person and return back on H4 visa?
NO WAY JOSE ... unless the Consul gives you specific permission to do this ... you need to drive/fly to Canada.

I am not sure this is a question that should be addressed to immigration lawyers not the consulate.
