He is 19 (20 in december) and she is 17 (18 in January) he is in the military but his sargent says they must break up until she is 18 because it goes against their laws in the military. Is this true?
The military age of consent is 16 but state and local laws also factor in as well. States range from 16-18. Sounds like the NCO is giving some pretty good advice - wait six or eight weeks and avoid all possible legal issues.
