Can a 12 year old give a school counselor consent to share abuse allegation information without parents consent a stranger?
My child made false abuse allegations about his step dad to his school counselor. She reported this which I understand why, but when she couldn't reach me on my cell, she agreed that he could go to another students house without my consent. She called the stranger and divulged the abuse allegations and asked if he could stay at the strangers house since she couldn't get a hold of me and didn't feel comfortable sending him home. She said he was comfortable with me but not his step dad. When I called this mom whom I've never met, she refused to let me pick up my child so I had to involve the police.
