Said defect is in the engine and the mechanic told us to get our money back, when I went back to the dealership they told me that it wasn't possible to swap the car for another one nor return our money, he did however offer to sign an extended warranty whereas he would stick it to the warranty company and they would pay for the repairs...what would be the best recourse legally? All I want is my money back at this point as they have completely lost my trust
In the papers you got when you bought the car will be info about the warranty that came with the car. Every car in NJ has one, and if you agreed to buy the car without it. Without seeing those papers, it's hard to tell what you can do.
