You should consult with a med mal attorney and have him review the medical records to see if there is anything indicating improper treatment. If, however, you have not sustained any significant damages, the attorney will likely decline the case.
If no heparin or other anticoagulant was administered during the week you were immobile and hospitalized, that would certainly be a departure from accepted standards of practice unless there was some medical justification for not administering same. Have the records reviewed and if that in fact was the case and your injuries warrant representation, then you will have found legal counsel.
