Want to move into the home
The probate procedure you will need to use to transfer the property into your name depends on the value of the house and also upon whether there are any creditors out there.
If there are no creditors, and the total value of all of the personal property and house is less than $100,000, then you may be able to use the "shortcut" affidavit of small estate procedure. If there are creditors and/or the value is greater than $100,000, then you are looking at having to probate the will through a formal probate. (This will take a minimum of 6 months in Arkansas).
I recommend visiting with an attorney well-versed in probate law to help guide you in the right direction.
