My kids father has been charged with attempted murder with no evidence he has a trial date for him to go to trial. They’re saying he will get 19years if he doesn’t beat it! I don’t believe it. I do some advice on this
There has to be SOME evidence or the case would never have made it this far. His lawyer is in a better position to answer your questions than a stranger on the internet who knows nothing about his case.

If the case is set for trial, then the judge has already determined that there is sufficient evidence to have a jury decide the issue of guilt. Are you sure the maximum penalty is only 19 years? If premeditation and deliberation is alleged, then the penalty could be life.
