I have a friend he is applying for asylum and his case is pending..he field his case in new York..but he recently moved to Virginia..he never notify the asylum office in new York about his new address in va he still using his friend address in new York as his address..does his move to va affect his case..or he should notify the asylum office??
Your friend moving from NY to VA does not necessarily effect his case. However, it is required that he update his address with USCIS by completing a "Change of Address" form known as the AR-11. This will ensure that he will receive all communication from the asylum office, including when he is scheduled for an interview.
