Asylum approved on 2003, travelled outside USA with travel document on 2007 but couldn't came back to USA for political reason..He been back home since n now want to know how he can come back or he should terminate the asylum status??
He will need to qualify as either a visitor, or under some other visa catagory. He will not be able to return as an asylee after spending years in the country he was granted asylum from, unless he can prove a credible fear at this time.
What caused him not to be able to return? Asylees are supposedly unable to return to their home countrries because of credible fear of persecution. In this case, it appears that there was no threat to his life or safety, thus, he lost his status as an asylee. He must apply for the appropriate visa so that he can return to the U.S. (e.g., visitor's visa, working visa, etc...) He must consult with an immigration lawyer.

Contact an immigration attorney to evaluate the specifics of this case. It seems he has resettled in his home country so his previous asylum grant will no longer be available.
