There's a ticket on my name that I had no idea about. I went to try to get an ID and they told me about it. The ticket is from years ago they say. But I am 18 now. Are the charges from the ticket dropped or do I have to go to court still
You will have to deal with the juvenile court. The charges won't just go away.
This is NOT legal advice. It is a general discussion of legal principles by a California lawyer, and does not create an attorney/client relationship. You should always consult PRIVATELY with an attorney. Free consultation only applies to potential clients with a criminal case within 100 miles of Chico, California.
You have to go to court to clear the warrant so you can get your id or dl. What was the ticket for?
The case doesn't go away because you are now 18. Go to the Public Defender's office at the Juvenile Court to get your case on calendar. If it is just a ticket and not a misdemeanor, they may not be able to help you.
You still have to deal with the matter in court.
