Hello, I am an Alien and got married to a US citizen 5mths ago. She has not petitioned or filed for me in any way, she recently told me that she is getting an annulment of our marriage but she didnt give me any reasons.
4 days ago i got seved by the court regarding the annulment but the reason she gave was that i didnt want to have children with her now or in the future, which is not true whatsoever, when i confronted her on this she told me that she couldnt wait for a year to get a divorce and i will have to sign it, that my failure to do so she will have me deported.
I spoke to a few freinds and they said i should just go ahead and sign.
My question is: Will this have an implication in future, if i eventually get married to a US citizen will it affect my green card application?Reasons she gave to court is that, i do not want to have kids with her now or in future, we dont have sexual intercourse and we havent been living together. please advise. I have to respond soon
If you get married in the future, any previous marriages will be subject to review by USCIS. I suggest you talk to a family law attorney to determine if annulment or divorce is your best option. Good luck.

Only if you entered into this marriage solely for the intention of getting a green card.

Regardless of which you decide, it is a good idea to maintain records of a bona fide marriage. Do read everything and do not sign anything that you do not absolutely agree with.
