An extradition warrant issued in Florida and executed in Texas. What is the procedure for extradition?
1 attorney answer
The State of Florida will transport the defendant back to the jurisdiction where the warrant issued and he/she will proceed with resolving the Florida case. There are no set time limits for the transport but if it takes longer than 60 days you might want to speak with a Texas attorney to see if there is a method of having the person released based on inaction by the state of Florida.
