I have an open ada claim at work and need to know what my rights are. I work at a non profit and I'm having issues.
Your question is better answered by employment law attorneys. You should repost it there. I hope you get the answer you're looking for.
It is difficult to answer this question in the abstract without having any information about your situation. You could feel an entire bookcase with books on the subject. The ADA has two basic requirements:
(1) The employer is prohibited from discriminating against you on the basis of your disability; and
(2) The employer must reasonably accommodate your disability so that you can perform the essential functions of your job.
I agree that this is more of an employment law question than workers compensation so maybe one of the attys in that area of the law can assist you.
