On June 13 I purchased 2 1st class tickets on American Airlines they reduced my tickets to coach seats. I had major ACL surgery and needed the extra leg room. I had to remove my surgical lock hinged brace. The seat in front of me was pressing on my bad knee. It was terrible. I flew from Miami, Fl. to San Francisco, Can an 7 hour flight like this. I seen my surgeon upon my return and had an major set back. I paid over $1,400 for my 2 tickets and they only tried to refund me 69.00 for both tickets something wrong with this. I have a new card and was told the money is refunded. I can't get any refund because the card is no longer in service. All the pain I went through they took my crutches and refused to return it to me so I can use the bathroom. What are my rights I know I have plenty.
This may be helpful to you. If not, I suggest buying an hour of time with an attorney experienced in aviation law of this type. You may also want to look at your tickets or ask the airline for a copy of its refund policy. It may be available online.
Best of luck,
Andrew J. Zulieve, Esq.
