So in 2008-09 I got into an uninsured accident . I made a payment arrangement . Paid it but during that time my rents had a house fire lost all documentation. I lost my license for a couple years because of suppose I'd owed money . 2012 I had a hearing . Presented my credit report . Credit act if America under federal law states that's enough proof to show validity of a debt or not . There was never a judgement against me . Before or after . I invited them to my hearing ...mailed as priority mail . No answer . State of nh contacted them . No response . They said they could not contact them to even find out if they are the appropriate holders of the debt . I have a letter stating that. Now I got my license back because of the evidence since 2012. But forced to have an sr 22. For 15-20 years . Now right before 2017 I pulled my credit report once again no judgement . They had once again to opportunity to bring me to court ..3 years to do so . they haven't even contacted anyone since . This lawyer is out of state n never had a nh lawyer respresenting him in the first place to send me paperwork or file for a judgement or court . Federal law says credit report is 100% proof .
You may be better served by meeting/contacting an attorney local to your area to discuss the options available. Credit repair can be a slow process and can be confusing if not handled properly, best by an experienced attorney. Best of luck.
