My mom left me at my girlfriends house at the age of 17. I have been here more than three weeks and she has disappeared. I have no contact with her, and she has not tried to reach out to me at all. Im planning to go back to school after a previous drop out due to my housing sitouation being revoked. My girlfriends father has been taking care of me, finacially and physically, making sure i have everything i need. Soon i will need a job and a house, but i must be 18 to rent an apartment, house, etc.. How do i go about the whole sitouation, and am i legally emancipated?
No, you are not. You would have to file a Petition for Emancipation with the Court.
