Am I entitled to a portion of my ex-husbands pension?

If your ex-husband's retirement interests were not dealt with in your Decree, you have an omitted asset and yes, it is possible to obtain a share of it. I said "possible," not probable. First of all, you will need to find out where you ex is because he will have to served with motion documents. Then the question becomes whether a court will permit you to claim your share after 30+ years. You will never know if you don't try, but be prepared to spend some money on attorney's fees and court costs to ask the court to award you some portion of that omitted asset. You should consult with an experienced family law attoney.
