My ex has to pay alimony but hasn't paid in last 8 months while we are separated. He has not lost his job. He claims that his expenses are higher than his income, He says that he has to continue taking care of his adult children. All his children are adults. These children were from his previous marriage. All of that he had also said when we first went to court for alimony and all these were taking gainfully in consideration by The Judge so the Judge didn't even order to pay him that much of alimony. But even that little amount The Judge ordered him, he doesn't pay. He does have in his favor that the Judge likes him A LOT. Does this mean that based on the fact that she likes him he might get away with it not having to pay me the 8 months that he hasn't paid ?
If he hasn't paid according to the court order, you can put in a motion for contempt/enforcement. Judges usually don't like it when their orders are not obeyed without good cause.
