I was charged and went to trial and judge adjudication withheld on Racing on Highway charge. State wont drop the charge initially as the officer stated I admit to racing during the stop which isn't the fact. I don't want to question my consult but do I need another lawyer which is more experience in the DMV appeal process?
If the state drop the racing on the highway charge, you would not have a one-year suspension due to the charge. Do you have a license suspension because of some other issue? I need more facts in order to advise you in this matter. I handle these matters and offer free consultation if you're interested. Thanks
Free Consultations can be made by calling 407-617-1064. Please understand that the information given is not to be construed as legal advice. More information would be needed in order to make more accurate legal determinations on your matter. Furthermore, an attorney-client relationship does not begin until a retainer agreement has been signed by the attorney and client.
If it has been less than 30 days, then you could appeal your criminal conviction and if that is overturned, then the DMV would have to reinstate you. Other than that, there is little you can do, although you should be eligible for a hardship. You should talk to an attorney right away.
You have 30 days from the date of the withhold to appeal your conviction. Consult with an appellate attorney in your area. Good luck
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
