My ex girl friend bought me a tv. We broke up and she left it behind when she left for new york for 4 months. She then returned and we tried to start over. When we broke up again, she illegally removed the tv from my home while I was at work. (She had no key)
While she did buy it, she did leave it behind and abandoned it. I'd like to know what legal recourse I have in Arizona to get it back.
This is not a civil rights issue so I changed you practice area to litigation. This is also not an abandonment issue. Going to New York and leaving something behind for a few months is not abandonment. If the TV was truly a gift, and not just something she bought to have at your place while she was staying there, you could sue her for the return of that gift. This would be a lawsuit you would bring without an attorney in small claims court.
Where is the x girlfriend?
If NYC it is not worth your while
If Arizona smalll claims court and you tell your story.
