Emergency - can the realtor who is the new owner of our home evict us Monday Morning?
My foreclosed home was auction sold on 9-12.
Husband Made a text agreement on 9-18 with realtor/owner to vacate by 9-30.
Am only abt 70% packed and I am not able to be out by then as I am ill and have few friends to help.
Can my things and I be forcibly removed from the house come Monday morning?
Don't want eviction on permanent record, but preferable to losing the remaining 30% of my belongings. Is eviction an option? Will it buy me any time?
Yes, the only way to force anyone to vacate a property is through court process — usually it is an unlawful detainer. If you were a tenant of the former owner you may have additional rights than if you were the actual former owner
