Will first-time PATH pare evasion get me a criminal record when doing background check?

Take a look at your summons because they typically write it under 2C:20-8A for theft of services which is a criminal charge. Anything that starts with "2C" is a criminal charge. If that is the case then you definitely should not plead guilty to any crime because it will result in a permanent criminal record and other possible consequences. When you are a charged with a crime, it is always smart to retain an attorney. At the very least I would bring your unlimited monthly pass to show to the prosecutor. Good luck.
Sounds like you can beat this one if you had unlimited passes. It is an ordinance I believe but it is found on the CCH because it is Port Authority not a town law.
Thanks! I did think I can beat it because there is no point that I would not pay the fair with unlimited passes for us both.

More information is needed and should not be given over the internet as anything said here could be used against you in court. I suggest that you bring your ticket to a lawyer to review. Path tickets can come in two forms in general one which is equivalent to an, ordinances and 2C violations we don't know which you got and even if we did this is not a site to get specific information on what you should do in your particular case for that you should seek the advise of a lawyer in his/her office, especially if your not a US citizen.

Thanks! The charge starts with "32:" so I believe it's no crime. So even if I lose I would have to pay the fine but nothing would be on my record? Not sure whether it has bad influence on me when someone else does background check on me.
