More information would be needed as to the level of felony and number of prior felony convictions. However, if your current shoplifting is a felony, it may be due to an artifice, which would be a class 4 felony. You have at least 2 prior felony convictions, which puts you in a bad situation as you would be looking at a presumptive term of 10 years in prison after trial. Although shoplifting seems minor, it is not in your case of the State is proceeding forward with a felony. I suggest consulting with a few experienced criminal defense attorneys to get a better assessment of your case. Most attorneys offer free consultations, good luck!

You need to hire an attorney or you will be appointed an attorney if you are indigent. Three theft convictions within 7 years in Arizona is a felony. And because you have a prior record you face considerable prison time. If you already have an attorney, then you need to talk to your attorney and stop admitting things on a public forum.
The above statement should not be construed as legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and is provided purely for informational purposes. You are advised to seek legal advice from an attorney and NOT AN UNLICENSED PARALEGAL SERVICE for any legal questions you have.
A new felony with priors means you are facing a lot of time in prison. Get an attorney right away.
Please note, my answers to questions do NOT create an attorney/client relationship. Only after a written agreement is entered into between the parties is an attorney/client relationship created. Additionally, the responses posted here are done so on limited information and should not be fully relied upon without an in person consultation where the entire case is reviewed and discussed in detail.
