First of all, I am very sorry to hear what your 17 year old has had to go through. I would suggest you contact a local area personal injury attorney right away. Assuming your 17 year old went to a public school, there could be a very shot time to file a lawsuit against a governmental agency such as a public school. Your local area personal injury attorney could let you know what the statute of limitations is for a public school. If for a private school, they will be able to tell you about that statute of limitation there in Texas. Most personal injury attorneys provide a free consultation. Good luck.

Only doctors can tell you if anything the school did caused your child's medical condition or made it worse. If this was a public school there are limits on what suit can be filed and time limits on giving notice to the school of a potential claim. So you had better get an attorney immediately to look into it.
This is not legal advice. You should always discuss the specifics of your issue in person with an attorney. Be aware that there are time limits on all claims that depend on the kind of claim, so do not delay in seeking an attorney.
