I paid in full for our wedding reception hall , dress, wedding favors and announcements
And my fiancee walked out and now there will not be a wedding. I paid for all of this i feel he had a verbal contract with me and now im out 18 thousand dollars. Can i take him to civil court and try to recoup some money.
Maybe half. There is no enforceable contract to marry. There is one to share expenses of the wedding
You may have an argument for a portion of the wedding expenses you paid. You should consult with a local attorney that can assess your case with all the details present.
