I was working for a rehab in Pa, then I got 12 months probation for a theft. While I was waiting for the probation to contact me I was transferred to another rehab to work in Ga. I have contacted probation and they told me I have to come back and call when I get back. Will they come and get me in Ga.
More than likely they will not because from what you have provided it seems like a low level crime. Extradition usually occurs for more serious crimes for jurisdictions that are located far away. You will still need to address it.
Since it appears to be a misdemeanor, then I doubt that they will spend the money to come get you in Georgia. They can toll or stop the running of your probation. In that case, when your probation time stops running, then you don't get off probation until you appear again. At some point it will have to be resolved. I suggest speaking with them and see if you can work out a process to allow you to report by phone call or email and continue paying whatever fees or fines are due. This way, the case can be resolved and you can move forward without this hanging over your head.
