Deed is in his name but he paid for the house while we were married with an insurance settlement. Am i entitled to any of it? What about if he passes without will. I quit my job to fight the insurance company for 5 months. I feel the bank owned it pre-wed and it should be marital property
What was the insurance for? An injury? Did that injury happen before marriage? If so, that money is likely his alone. Nothing here really sounds like you have any claim to the property. At best, you may have some claim that payments to it were marital, and so any equity should be split in some equitable way. But that is all.
Until you are divorced, the intestate rules apply.
