I have hired many lawyers in my life and most of them did very little for me. Mr. Jim McGee represented me in a DWI case where the state trooper really had no probable cause to stop me in the first place, for I was not violating any traffic law at the time of the stop. He made a motion to dismiss my case to prevent the illegal evidence against me from being admitted into testimony. The judge agreed and granted the motion and I was exonerated. After getting charged with a dui at a check point I hired Mr Mcgee who I promptly got an appointment with to go over my options. He listened well and did not lie to me about my chances of beating the charges. After a few continuances and obtaining the police report he gave me a heads up on how he... was going to fight the charge. In court he was very confident and composed when questioning the arresting officer. Mr Mcgee blew holes in the prosecution's case and pointed out facts that were left out that proved grounds for dismissal. In the end, after blowing a .09 and failing one field sobriety test I heard motion for dismissal GRANTED. I don't know how but Mr Mcgee proved there was no probable cause and my case was dismissed. Needless to say I'm very pleased with the outcome and the work of my lawyer. If I ever need an attorney again I will not hesitate to retain him again.

I got the same results with this attorney as I would have gotten if I had walked in the courtroom and just pled guilty. The only difference is that now I am out $3000 while still needing to meet the financial obligations of a DWI conviction. (The word conviction in this statement is underlined.) T...he police officers in this case were very ill prepared and ultimately got on the stand a painted a picture that in no way resembled the truth. Had Jimmy studied the dash cam video and taken notes, he could have very well submitted this into evidence and used it for grounds for dismissal. But instead, Jimmy just stuck with the plan. I mean, when you've already gotten someone's money and it isn't your life and/or livelihood on the line, why make your job any harder than it needs to be, right? $3000 for a Level 5 DWI charge is preposterous. I do not recommend.
