Highly Disappointed

Michael was the second lawyer I consulted with about a Second-Offence DUI. I knew that because of the details of my case that I would be charged with a "DUI with a Prior". I did not ask him to "get me clear" or anything outrageous, but did request that he help me "reduce" as much as possible and no j...ail. He assured me that my case would not see "Jail Time" so I hired him. I was moving to Long Beach at the time for work and was very busy opening a new restaurant. Mike requested a "Motion to Dismiss Evidence" because my blood was drawn, with a warrant, and the details of the blood-draw were vague. The motion was struck down because, according to the judge, Mike attempted to "sandbag" his argument with the blood draw, when he originally filed the Motion because of Probable Cause. First Red Flag. The day for sentencing came and I was ordered to pay a $2700 fine, 3 days of community service, completion of a Multiple Conviction Program, MADD panel, and, wait for it, 96 HOURS OF CUSTODY to be completed in 2 weekends. Of course I contacted Michael with my disappointment that his prior assurances were hollow. His solution was simply to appeal the case, but when I called his office as he instructed me to, he had my file in his "CASE CLOSED" pile. Second Red Flag. He struggled with having my sentence Stayed and even had to return to court to make them include the 96 hours of custody, which they wanted me to serve regardless of an appeal. At this time I am working over 50 hours a week and the only thing on my mind is serving out this sentence without assurance from my "trusted lawyer" that things would be alleviated. One full year passed for the appeal process and, of course, we lost. Mike made the same failed argument to the appeal judges that he did when he filed for the Motion to Dismiss Evidence. I had all of my sentence reinstated. Mike offered an alternative to serving 96 hours in county jail, though. He had me apply for CPAC so that I could serve 96 hours at home. After applying, CPAC contacted me about my docket not having CPAC approval. I contacted Mike, and after a few days (I had to reach out to him of course) told me that he "didn't know" that I WASN'T ELIGIBLE. The Final Failure. I am now two weeks away from spending my first weekend in county jail, ever. Throughout this arduous process, I want to make it known that Mike rarely ever got in contact with me of his own will, that I had to reach out to him 99% of the time, and even when I got him on the phone would have to remind him who I was. He clearly exercised neglect in my case, due to the fact that he gave me false information with CPAC. He did however take $3000 from me to show face in court, which I am sure isn't the only reason he had to appear. I will never drink and drive again, but to those who make the mistake and need representation that will fight for you, care about you, and make an effort to keep you "in the know", try talking to Mr. DUI first. $100 less with heaps more charisma and competence. Sorry Mike, but you dropped the ball hard. 2 stars only because I didn't have to appear in court while I am in LA.

This case was not a typical case. As a second DUI he was subject to 96 hours custody and it was made clear to client. The blood test done only after client refused and a warrant was necessary to have the blood drawn. This complicated the case. I ran a motion to suppress the blood based upon a lack of approved medical procedure. THE APPEAL WAS DONE FOR FREE . Client knew it would take about a year to resolve. Most attorneys would not offer this. Client was not eligible for electronic monitoring instead of custody (CPAC). MY staff and I always strive to keep my clients informed of the case and procedure. Best Possible Outcome Felony Dui

I was facing a felony 5th dui. The DA initially wanted a prison term. Through discovery before our preliminary hearing Michael was able to uncover weaknesses in the case and exposed them pretrial to get the deal is was shooting for. I personally feel your always better off hiring a private attorney o...ver a public defender. If your facing a dui charge Mr Fremont is the one to call. He will most likely be able to resolve your case before it ever gets to trial. I hired him because of his Avvo results and am extremely happy I did. All the lawyers in the courthouse knew him and he seemed to be a mentor to a lot if them. Some other lawyers I spoke to on Avvo were rude, unprofessional and used scare tactics. Mr. Fremont did not and told me upfront if what I wanted was realistic and what to do prior to court dates. He was reasonably priced and always returned emails promptly. He isn't too detailed, but you just have to trust he knows what to do. I give him 5 stars. Call Mr. Fremont if your in need of a knowledgeable attorney that appears to be known by DA s for his determination and results driven methods.

Exemplarary.

After finding myself once more arrested for a DUI, which would be an amount to be considered a felony, I reached out and up again to Mr. Fremont. He had in the past performed a miracle with his extraordinary brilliance and talent in keeping me from jail and a felony conviction, which in turn provided... the ability for my return to work and my life. With debilitating fear I imagined my life over yet again, and how very presumptuous of me. Immediately he calms your fears once you sit with him and bear witness to his magnitude of pure brilliance on full display for all to recognize and quickly realize a genius in their midst. It again brought to mind I was granted entry into the most prestigious Ivy league college with the good grace of learning from the most prestigious professor. Back to reality here.. once more his dogged determination and tenacity provided me life and freedom and how do you simply write with words a review for this? I owe this genius my life, and what a generous gift to be able to pass along this knowledge for those who may find themselves in the absolutely devastating position of a DUI. Fear not, for once you place your trust and life into Mr. Fremont's hands, he will tenaciously return both to you. You may see ratings of number one provided for others. Permit me to tell you if your life is on the line, all those other number one's cannot equate to immeasurable. Mr. Fremont. Thank You Sir.

My peace during my darkest moments

As anyone that's ever gotten a DUI for one reason or another you know it's not a fun experience. I was freaking out the whole time because my DUI was more serious as I injured my passenger and when you do that it's a felony. It wasn't a regular misdemeanor situation even as a first time offender. I... was very fortunate and was referred to Mike by an old boss. I'm glad he did as he worked what seems like miracles for me. From the moment I went to consultation I was set at ease. I work for the DOD so I could not possibly have a felony on my record and if I did, I'd lose my job and security clearance. I expressed how badly I needed his help with that. He made no promises but said he'd try his hardest and he sure did. I can't express how much I was stressing out about my work because of the extensive background checks. Mike took a genuine interest in my case and went above and beyond to help me out. I am still employed and my background check was good. I called and text him at random times and he always got back to me when I needed him and it was not some answering service. I hope that no one is ever in a situation like mine or experience what I had to go through and if you do I hope you call Mike Fremont. Because of his efforts, knowledge and expertise in the field I was able to have a favorable outcome even when the court system wanted to make an example out of me. Thanks, Mike. My family and I appreciate everything you did for me. =]

Victory!

Michael worked tirelessly with calculated precision and strategic methodology over the months to contest the DA's appeal of our initial victory in trial court. In the appellate court, Michael mopped the floor with the DA's argument resulting in our final victory-one that saved my military career. Her...e's a lawyer you can count on to go above and beyond. Thanks Michael! -AF
