The Premiere DUI Specialist

If you are looking to fight your DUI in San Diego. Michael Fremont should be at the top of the list. I got my 1st and only DUI 5 months ago and drive for a living. I initially hired another specialist (arguable the #1 DUI Specialist in San Diego) but, realized quickly that my case was turned over t...o another associate that was not very responsive or cared about my case - i had even paid for trial even though this rarely happens. I switched to Fremont after one 10 min call after he had reviewed the police report. I have seen how thorough he has been during a pretrial motion and he is a legend (heard other attorneys talking about him at court). He even teaches other attorneys how to handle dui cases. He is battling for me at the DMV and has been relentless in getting a long list of evidence to fight my case in court. While the circumstances of my case were not that encouraging , he has already found some real issues and is fighting hard for me. He is old school in that he handles everything personally. He and his staff are very professional, responsive and has answered questions. Read the reviews and then look at his site. I will provide an update on my case when it is done (good or not so good) but, at least I know that Fremont is my best shot at finding a positive resolution and I should have hired him from the get go.

Hands down the best attorney for DUI/DWI

About 2 years ago I was arrested for a DUI, while driving on a suspended license, from a prior DUI. I contacted 5 other DUI attorneys until I finally retained Michael Fremont. From my very first meeting, he was optimistic and had a plan of attack with my case. I had a prior DUI that wasn't resolved ...correctly from my first attorney, I was driving on a suspended license, and I blew a .16. He didn't seem worried at all that I had a prior dui, and my license was suspended. The fact that he was so confident, helped to ease my mind. Michael was able to find a small loophole in paperwork filed by the DA, which ended up in a scheduling conflict with the arresting officer. This ended up throwing the officer's testimony out completely due to failure to appear. The DA requested a continuance, and dragged the case on for an additional 2 years!!! The case ended up having to be restarted, as the DA was granted their continuance. So we were back at square one.... In the 2 year span that my case was being reviewed, Michael constantly updated me on progress and stayed positive. He was always available to answer any questions I had. A few weeks ago we were finally able to sit in front of the DA and the judge, and I was able to watch Michael negotiate a tremendous plea bargain. He was able to talk the DA into pleading my case down to a wet wreckless. Instead of being convicted of a 2nd dui and facing possible jail time, I am only required to do a small number of community service days and attend the alcohol classes. When I processed my paperwork at the courthouse to arrange payments for my fines, I still remember the look on the clerks face when he said to me, "You were driving with a suspended license, above the legal limit..........and you were able to plea down to a wet wreckless?? You must have a hell of an attorney!" Michael Fremont saved my life, and my career. I want to personally thank you for all of your help. I highly recommend him for any DUI/DWI case.

Look no further!!

Mr. Fremont did an exencllent job handling my case. When first meeting with Mr. Fremont to discuss the details of my case, he made me feel at ease by being up front and totally honest about what to expect. He told me his plan of action for getting me the results that I needed and followed through to ...the "T". My BAC was very high and for a while I had lost hope of getting anything other than a DUI. With persistians, knowledge, and skill Michael was able to get me unbelieveble results. Another major plus is his staff was very helpful and friendly. They stayed well connected with me and kept me in the loop. They were also very flexible when it came to finances. I definitely recommend anyone with DUI issues to hire Mr. Fremont and his excellent staff.

Got my DUI reduced to dry reckless

Mike is very knowledgeable about the law and immediately, after hearing my case, came up with a strong defense. At the motion trial, he was totally sure of his defense and made a case against pretty much all of the arguments made by the prosecution (and on top of that he gave the jerk cop that arres...ted me a really hard time, so it was almost fun to watch). I did catch a bit of a lucky break as the cop that arrested me was not honest about the breathalyzer he was using, and so that helped my case. But Mike did help to get my sentence down to a dry reckless-a non alcohol related defense. What a relief. He's a bit hard to keep track of, but responded quickly to phone calls and answered all of the questions I had about my case. Also, the guy's funny, and that never hurts!

Knowledgeable, Reliable, Dependable, and Excellent Stress Reliever!

While going through the stressful DUI process, it was real assuring for me to know that Michael took any of my calls or returned my calls as soon as he could regarding my serious concerns and keeping me informed of my status. I work very demanding and long hours. Consequently, it was also relievi...ng to me to have a dependable lawyer, such as Michael, to attend one of my two court dates without me present as well as attending the other with me. Just recently, I received a warrant for my immediate arrest and was ordered to turn myself in at the courthouse. I hadn't signed up for my DUI classes, however, I was still within my 90 day requirement before being seen as defiant. The court had me noted as being past my 90 days and ordered the arrest. I was frightened and wasn't sure how to deal with the situation. I had someone drive me to the courthouse and park near the building but I was too frightened to go in without speaking to someone from the courthouse first. I spoke with a court clerk and she said there would be a strong possibility I would be arrested upon entering and checking in. I then called and spoke to someone at the Public Attoreney's office for that district. He said, "Go into the courthouse and immediately look for someone with a tie, he will probably be an attorney, ask him for help." This was unsettleling so I called the Public Attorney's office for another district. The woman who answered stressed that I need to get in touch with the attorney who originally handled my case. I called Michael Fremont (I hadn't spoken with him for 5 monnths simply because there was no need.) He happened to be at the courthouse. He asked for my case number and within 30 minutes, had my warrant pulled and a newly established, later date documented for me to sign up for classes. I truly regret my poor gudgement in getting a DUI in the first place. With Michael Fremont's guidance and ongoing assistance, it put me in a better, more secure mind-set, inabling me to fous on learning from my mistake and living a more productive and healthier lifestyle.
