Mariela was instrumental in my very complex custody case. As a father, I found myself in every parent’s worst nightmare: The other parent (mother) absconded with my daughter to a different state (California.) The second I found out mother had taken my daughter, I called Mariela and she immediately be...gan advising me on what steps to take to protect my rights as a father (knowing there was no custody order in place.) She filed a motion for abduction prevention measures and establishment of parental responsibilities the same day.
