Mariela and her law staff did an outstanding job on a difficult immigration case for our family. Mariela was instrumental in my very complex custody case. As a father, I found myself in every parent’s worst nightmare: The other parent (mother) absconded with my daughter to a different state (California.) The second I found out mother had taken my daughter, I called Mariela and she immediately be...gan advising me on what steps to take to protect my rights as a father (knowing there was no custody order in place.) She filed a motion for abduction prevention measures and establishment of parental responsibilities the same day. This might have singlehandedly been the difference between Jurisdiction being in Colorado vs. California (and quite frankly the outcome of the case entirely.)
