Back in late October of 2015, I made a really stupid decision to drive home after hours of social drinking with my colleagues at a work gathering. The get-together was held in Point Loma, an area I'm quite unfamiliar with. After getting lost trying to find the 5 freeway to get home, I ended finding myself pulled over at the guard station of Point Loma Naval Station at 3AM. Clearly under the influence, I ended up being arrested for a DUI. Embarrassed and very humiliated, I immediately worried about how this would affect my family and healthcare-related occupation. I had a pristine track record up to this point. After consulting with close friends, I made the decision to call a few attorneys to find out if the damage could at least be lessened. I knew it would be a DUI due to the BAC I blew. The first 2 attorneys I contacted heard my story and ultimately let me know, "we can represent you but please understand, this will be a DUI almost certainly...you blew a very high BAC. As for the federal court nature of the case, we need to investigate the process. This is something we haven't seen". The third call was to Cole Casey. He was the only attorney I spoke to that had the experience to explain the differences between being arrested on state vs. federal property. He promised nothing but gave me assurances that he would work to keep this from affecting my career and limit the blow as much as possible. He listened and asked the right questions about my background, occupation, and family. Fast forward 8 months and several court dates.... I got a call from Lauren. She informed me that I needed to sit down with Cole and go over the case progress. She implied "I think you will be very pleased". I met with Cole the following week and was notified of the news. NO DUI!!!!! Folks, I blew a very high BAC number. Please, please do yourself a favor. Call Cole Casey and discuss your case. He and Lauren handled everything for me. They stayed in high communication and saved my career!! I ended up having to do 12 AA classes, a Victim impact Panel, and a $500 fine. No DMV involvement, no Interlock, no DUI! Thank you Cole and Lauren!

I want to start off by saying that I would give Mr. Casey an infinite amount of stars on this review if possible.
I was charged with my second DUI in July of 2015. I made the mistake of first going to a lawyer that made my case a thousand times more difficult and stressful than it needed to be. I caught my case in Newport Beach. BAC was .24. I had resided in San Diego at the time, but was planning on moving to Murrieta. (3 different counties involved) My first lawyer did not let the courts know that I was moving to another county, thus making Secured Electronic Confinement a huge mess. I was told to pay all of my fines, enroll in the 18 month DUI program, get a breathalyzer in my vehicle, and get into a house arrest program. My first lawyer did not tell me how to go about getting on house arrest, but instead stated that i needed to appear at the Newport Jail on a specific date. I found out that day (by calling around) that I was going to be booked into jail to serve a 100 day sentence if I showed up, and if I didn't, there would be a warrant out for my arrest. I did not go in, per my first lawyers advice and I went and got on the SCRAM program for house arrest through San Diego County. This got me a warrant and at least 8 more court hearings and the case had gone through 3 different judges. All of them wanted to throw me in jail and told me that the program I was on was not in compliance with Newport County and that I had wasted my time and money by getting on this program. The last court date with my first lawyer did not go very well. The judge wanted to throw me in jail for 2 weeks to 2 months, and ordered me to come back one last time for a final decision. At this point (9 months from my first sentencing date) I was beyond stressed, disappointed with my misrepresentation from my first lawyer, and completely hopeless.
A friend of mine recommended that I speak with Mr. Casey and tell him my situation to see if there was anything else I could do, since I had complied with every single part of my sentencing aside from the incorrect information and council I was given about the house arrest program. At this point, I had been on the SCRAM house arrest and alcohol monitoring system for 70 days.
Mr. Casey met with me, reviewed my case, found all of the errors from my first lawyer, and agreed to take my case and go with me to my last court hearing.
The possibilities of the judges' decision that Mr. Casey and I discussed were the following: 1- I would have to re-do my 100 day house arrest sentence on a program that the courts found in compliance. 2- The judge would see that I have been doing everything i knew to be correct to fix my mistake and let me finish out the 30 days of house arrest that I had left. and 3 - That the judge would see that I was misrepresented, given false information, was doing everything that I could, and would take into consideration the "double time" allowance for my sentence and let me be done with everything.
I'm not going to lie - I did expect to have to re-do my sentence, but if it kept me out of jail and still able to keep my job, that is what I would have to do.
Mr. Casey went into the Judges' chambers for what seemed like forever, and when he came out he let me know that he got me the best case scenario that we had discussed. My sentence was satisfied and I was allowed to FINALLY get my house arrest anklet off. Since I had done everything else that I was supposed to, I now am only having to finish out my DUI program and have the breathalyzer in my vehicle.
Not only did Mr. Casey respectfully and honestly present my case/situation the judge and get me the best case scenario, he also cleaned up the mess from my previous lawyer. There are not enough words to express my gratitude and appreciation for him and I would recommend him to everyone.
So, like I said... first (lawyer) the worst, and the second (lawyer) the absolute best.
Thank you so so so very much!!!

Cole got me a decreased charge of wet reckless by plea bargain with a Low bac first time offense.
Handled all the dmv and court appearances without me present. Communicated well through whole process about what to expect and what I would have to do with regard to fines, meetings , classes etc...to comply with court ordered punishment. The experience was horrible but would have been worse without Cole and his teams help. Cost was a little more than some other options but worth it in my opinion.

After speaking with 3 or 4 lawyers on behalf of my son, who was arrested for his first DUI at age 22, I was sure that my son was going to jail, and was going to suffer for the rest of his life. That's what I had been told would happen, unless of course I hired one of them. I was referred to Cole Casey by my neighbor, a police officer, who's son also had a DUI and had Mr. Casey as his lawyer, and he spoke very highly of Mr. Casey. Apparently the San Diego Police department considers him their go-to guy when their family members get in trouble, and that was very comforting. I called Mr. Casey's office, was patched right through to him and he spent almost an hour calming me down, assuring me that my son was going to be fine, would not go to jail and most importantly, that I did not his services or the services of any lawyer at all. After having every other lawyer I spoke with trying to scare me into giving them my credit card number over the phone, and giving me some very unprofessional sales pitches. Mr. Casey was truly a breath of fresh, honest air. He is the exact opposite of what you would expect a lawyer to be and that was so wonderful to see. He could tell how scared I was, and just kept re-assuring me. He explained the entire DMV process to me, told me how to get the proper documents for my son to get a provisional license and told me not not to waste my time with the DMV. He gave me his cell phone number, told me to go with my son to court and to use the services of the Public Defender, because hiring him would be a waste of money. He told me to call him if we got into a bind, or had questions. After an hour of talking, I insisted on paying him for his time because he was a thousand times more helpful than anyone I had spoken to, and he would have none of it. This is a truly honest and caring man, but you can tell by talking to him that he is also 100% an authentically tough, and impressive lawyer. It is obvious why he has so many awards and professional commendations. He made me laugh, I stopped crying, and I will refer anyone I know that gets in trouble to him. I know he will give them straightforward advice and not try to scam them into hiring him.
My son went to court, took his lumps, the punishment was exactly what Mr. Casey said it would be, and I did not waste thousands of dollars on a lawyer. I emailed him after my son's case was a over, thanked him and again offered to pay him; he simply would not allow it. Thank you Mr. Casey, your profession should be proud of you and the way you conduct yourself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I met Mr Casey two years ago he is my attorney to this day. He is a go getter type of lawyer, plays no games and is right to the point. I would recommend him to my friends and family or anyone one who needs a very good attorney. He knows what he's doing and is good at it. I highly recommend Mr Casey for the job!

In past march, I've received 2 felony charges...
first charge was the felony DUI and the second charge was felony Hit and Run..... I was scared to death and after meeting with 3 other lawyers, I found Cole Casey..
He was very reasonable and never promised for what is going to happen but rather he showed me with action to lower my charges. He was very aggressive in the court with very logical reasons. After long journey, my 2 felony charges has been dropped to wet rec, and misdemeanor hit and run. I'm very satisfied with his effort and also the services. Thanks again Mr. Casey

Using Cole Casey is the best decision you can make if you receive a DUI. I’m highly educated, successful and yet I made a very bad decision to get behind the wheel of my car following a heated argument with a loved one who was being abusive and left after our argument.
Finding myself alone and in jail, my car totaled, my loved one wasn’t there to help me, my best friend was there. In a state of panic, we quickly rented a car and contacted a referral from the bail bond company. The attorney assigned to me seemed competent at the beginning as he tried to understand my case. That attorney represented me at the DMV, misrepresented the facts of the case and didn’t provide any updates on next steps. I took the required classes and didn’t drive as I worked my way through the DMV process. About 10 days prior to the anniversary of the incident, I received a mailing indicating an upcoming court date as a felony charge. We went to court, and it was clear the attorney was not prepared and he did not represent me very well. I left the court room with an order to wear an ankle bracelet until the next hearing date in the middle of the summer. After a couple weeks of hiding the ankle bracelet at work (in meetings), and from my children, I contacted another attorney to ask for a referral – she said Cole Casey was the best.
Upon contacting Cole’s office, they collected some basic information from me, answered my questions, and set up time for me to meet with Cole. We met at the office and Cole asked for details, reviewed my paperwork, and luckily, Cole was willing to take on my case. Within days and while I was on a beach vacation with my children in Orange County, Cole made arrangements for he and I to meet with a judge to make a case for the ankle bracelet to be removed immediately. Cole won it for me. Following the meeting with the judge, I drove to San Diego, had the bracelet removed, and returned to Orange County to enjoy the remainder of my vacation with my children.
The next challenge would be the felony and seeing if we could have the charge reduced to a misdemeanor. A few weeks later, Cole represented me and was able to have the charge reduced. Throughout the entire process, Cole was available, honest, concerned, and dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome. Cole and his team are absolutely amazing. If I had started with Cole it’s likely he would have been able to resolve my case much quicker than the 14 very scary, uncomfortable, unpleasant months I endured. Cole Casey is the best, and I am thankful and appreciative of his expertise, relationships, honesty, and sense of urgency.

Last year my world was turned upside down. I'd never been in trouble before, not even a parking ticket. Professionally employed - white collar, honorable military service and by all account a good family man, friend and law abiding citizen.
I hired Mr. Casey and his firm to represent me for a serious felony charge and it was the right move. Never experiencing something like this before I had all sorts of thoughts running through my head. From the beginning I felt I was innocent, but at the least my only stipulation was not serving time.
From the start Mr. Casey advised me there are no guarantees, but felt there was a good chance we could resolve this with no time served. I found Mr. Casey trustworthy, flexible, but firm and most of all supportive. He kept me abreast of the situation along the way, looked at all possibilities and communicated them effectively with both positive and negative repercussions and he took the time to meet with me on a regular basis to help me pause and reset when I would get anxious.
Mr. Casey was very knowledgeable about my case and briefed me what he felt the prosecutors were after, would accept and won't accept. Besides the prosecution, Mr. Casey was very accustomed with the courts and judges we appeared before and at every turn what he surmised is pretty much what transpired.
Mr. Casey guided me and directed me to actions I could take to support and strengthen my position regarding services I could attend. Mr. Casey fought my case for almost a year and by the end he got me exactly what I asked for. I ended up pleading out my case to lesser charges and no time served.
I highly recommend G. Cole Casey Esq. and his team for their expertise, trustworthiness, support, understanding and knowledge of law, the prosecution, courts and judges in San Diego County.

Cole Casey came highly recommended to me by just about anyone I asked. I sure see why.
When you first meet him, you feel the confidence he has, but he is so incredibly nice and fun to talk to. I did my homework anyway, and instead of giving me a bunch of scare tactics and nonsense about how great he was, which seemed to be the common approach of the other lawyers I spoke with, Cole was the first guy to tell me that I probably didn't even need a lawyer. I was too scared to try to go to court alone, and was tired of hearing sales pitch after sales pitch from literally every single lawyer I spoke with. Mr. Casey was truly a breath of fresh air.
Well, he obtained a result for me that he said was possible but, in all honesty, unlikely. He pulled it off. I am a very VERY happy client.
If you make the mistake of getting arrested for DUI, you owe it to yourself to at least call Cole. If you don't need the kind of firepower he brings, he will be the first to tell you. And he is a true pleasure to work with. Instead of making me come to his office, he would set meetings with me when ever I wanted, and many times offered to meet at places closer to my home to lessen my inconvenience. He is the real deal. I honestly expected a guy with his credentials, experience and all the awards he has been given to be demanding and arrogant. Cole was just a really nice, cool guy, who exudes a sort of quiet and intense strength - you just know that if the need to fight arose, he would be the first one to jump in.

Thank you for helping me with my case, I have never had anything like this happen to me and you were able to get me a fantastic outcome.
