Steven’s answer: Unfortunately, the answer to your question falls into the category "Not Enough Information." What is the hearing for? What branch of Government is conducting the hearing? These are important questions. Without the specific information, your question can't be answered.

Possible Tax Fraud ?: A friend prepared tax returns for me for a three year period. I ended up doing my own tax return this year, but when I looked at a previous return I saw some numbers that didn't add up. It appears that they were too generous with some deductions. What should I do in this situation? I think that I might have a tax liability of perhaps $6000 without any fees or penalties for those three years if I reduce the numbers that my preparer used.

Steven’s answer: You can amend your returns going 3 years back from the date the return was due. So, to be complete, you should amend the return. Use form 1040X. I hope this answers your question.

How do I get the other person off my deed that has not paid anything on the property ?: I brought a house with a friend and they never paid anything on the house , no down payment, no taxes, no mortgage payments, no repairs , no insurance or anything one time. What can I do to get there name off.

Steven’s answer: How do you hold title? Jointly? Do you have an agreement with this friend? Have you asked the friend to sign over the property to you via Quit Claim Deed? These are the first questions that need to be answered. When someone is on the Deed that are owners of the property. You can't simply take the property away. You may be able to seek a court judgment or some other legal means.

I hope this answers your question - somewhat
