Q: What can I do to avoid getting my license suspended or sent to jail for a no insurance citation in GA?: I was given a citation for $800 on September 27th for driving with out insurance. At the time, I had just lost my job as a trucker and was unable to keep my insurance payments. A mail was sent to me saying that my registration would be suspended but I did not get this mail until I returned home from being on the road as a trucker and was too late to take any actions. My car was fully insured on September 28th, the next day from when I got my car two and received the citation. I had to pay ~$600 to get my car back. I was unemployed at the time so it was a struggle. My car is fully insured now and I am working again. I am looking to get this dismissed or the penalties removed. I was thinking about doing nolo but not sure if that will help. I do not mind paying the $800 but want to keep my license and out of jail. Thank you!

Q: What can I do to not have points deducted from my driver’s license?: I received a traffic citation and summons for following too closely, first citation I have ever received in my driving history. I am worried about it negatively affecting my driving history and license, as well as insurance going up. This was also in GA and I have a CA Driver’s license. I am summoned for court for January 2022. I am unsure of what’s the best way to proceed.
