What did my probation officer mean when she said I was to come to her office for an admend: Placed on state probation for possession pled first offender

Asked 6 months ago in Criminal Defense

Bert’s answer: If by "admend" you mean administrative hearing, it means that the probation officer wants to tell you that you violated probation in some way but wants to hear what you have to say for yourself and probably won't proceed to revoke your probation. Take this as a serious warning because whatever it is they say you did or didn't do, if the behavior continues they will proceed with trying to revoke your probation.

Bert’s answer: Yes, but the burden may be on you to prove that in fact you were not convicted. Your criminal history may not clearly or correctly show that you were acquitted and therefore not a felon.I suggest you start with getting a certified copy of the disposition of your Florida case so that you can show it to the appropriate Georgia authorities.

Bert’s answer: This is obviously a complex and difficult case. No lawyer on the internet can possibly give you a meaningful answer. I suggest talking to the lawyer who represented him or who handled the appeal, or, find a lawyer who practices post conviction relief matters.
