Can I Trademark a name by adding an exclamation point to the end of the word?: I would like to Trademark a name for a carpet cleaning company in the southwest. The name I wish to use is already Trademarked by a company that sells rugs in the northeast. Are these businesses too similar in services to be able to Trademark the name even if I add an exclamation point to the end of the name? Does the difference in geological location affect this any?

Vladimir’s answer: If your intention is to confuse your potential customers into believing that the services you provide are somehow related to the other company (otherwise, why would you even consider adding an exclamation point to the already registered trademark?), I suggest this is a no starter as it might turn to be a very costly endeavor.

Is it legal to sell your own nude photos online?: Can you sell your own photos to people over the legal age of 18? Nude photos, lingerie shots, feet shots, as long as you and the buyers are both 18 and it is your own content you created by yourself. As long as you pay taxes is that ok?

Vladimir’s answer: I agree with my colleagues, and would only like to add that you might want to consider registering your work with the US Copyright office as such registration creates a public record of your ownership and allows you to sue potential infringers in federal court. There are other advantages as well.
