Amy Morell helped me navigate the worst experience of my life. Up until the age of 60, I'd have been considered an upstanding citizen. Then, I made an egregious mistake by getting behind the wheel of a car after having too much to drink. I injured other people which made the DUI a felony.
At our initial interview, Amy said her goal was to keep me out of jail. Given that I was charged with innumerable offenses, including a first strike prison sentence, this was an ambitious goal.
Through a combination of excellent negotiating skills, good relationships with the county DA and resourceful strategizing, she was able to accomplish her goal and keep me out of jail.
I'm not saying it was easy or without moments fraught with terror, but anything was better than jail.
Long after my fee had been banked, Amy successfully represented me in a motion to reduce my felony conviction to a misdemeanor. I felt like I'd gotten my respectable life back.
If you're ever in big trouble with a DUI, Amy Morell is a wonderful resource who is well worth the money.

If you're reading this, you're probably getting inundated with adds from attorneys who are boasting their experience and success rates -And quoting fees ranging from $900 to $10,000+.... Overwhelming, to say the least.
After interviewing several, well rated DUI specialists, hiring Amy was a no-brainer. I expected to pay a premium for quality representation but I never felt like her fee was gouging me. She even agreed to spread her costs over several weeks, which was a huge help.
She was always responsive and accessible and answered all of my repetitive questions with patience. Best of all, she negotiated the best outcome I could have ever expected, given the challenges of my case.
I HIGHLY recommend her calm, confident and persistent expertise.

She was great! Got my charge down to a wet and reckless without breaking a sweat. Sweat woman who I was proud and honored to have by my side on that scary day. Can't thank her enough !

I spoke to a few lawyers before choosing Amy. I chose her because she was very experienced, had great reviews, and of all the lawyers I chatted with, I just felt comfortable with her. It was a scary situation to be in, but Amy was very communicative, assuring, and organized. I found her to be very straight forward when it came to explanations and recommendations. I was insanely busy at the time of all of this and she handled everything. Even after the case (I'm talking years) she still provided advice and information. Amy comes with a strong recommendation.

I would like to start off by saying that I do not condone drinking and driving and that it is one of the worst experiences you can ever go through in your life. I never drink and drive but one night after celebrating a late birthday I was pulled over for having dealer plates and for not turning off my turn signal. When pulled over I was asked to do a few field tests and then was arrested on suspision of drunk driving. Was taken to police station and yes I blew over the limit. Spent the night in jail and was one the worst days of my life, the feeling after is awful and you feel as though you are F#/$_!
I immediately googled dui attorneys and Amy's name came up with good reviews and I gave her a call. This was the first blessing. While talking with Amy I got the vibe that everything MIGHT be ok.. this was crutial because at this point I felt almost helpless but She made me feel at ease and she was confident that she could help me and possibly get the dui charges dropped or lowered to wet and reckless.
She IS a little more expensive then some of the other attorneys I looked up but you get what you pay for! I never had to show up in court unless I wanted to and she answered all my calls and emails and was extremely patient with me and my questions. I have had attorneys before who would act irritated if I spent too much of their time like wtf! Im paying YOU! But not Amy.
When it was time to go to court Amy suggested that I show up and I was thinking I would talk to the DA but the DA would not lower my charge and basically was gonna suspend my licence for 30 days which meant that I would probably be fired from my job because I am needed to drive for work!!! But before I panicked Amy looked me in my eye and told me "dont worry, I got this, I got this" and even though I was worried I trusted her. I have No police record, I am a veteren, i am a tax paying citizen who made a huge mistake and just needed One break.
Amy tried my case again with another DA and judge and after reviewing ALL the evidence, and my prior service and work situation she was able to get my charges dropped to wet and reckless!!
I have learned my lesson and have not even touched a steering wheel if I had ANY alcohol! .. if you ever make that mistake, I recommend you Call Amy and see if she can help. She did not ask me to write any reviews, I just feel like she saved my life... if I lost my job I dont know what I would do to support my daughter... so thanks Amy!

Sooooooooo I got a DUI. It sucked. Like Really Really sucked. I felt pretty sober but had to spend a night in jail. (that was a first for me). Two days later you get flooded by advertisements for attorneys. Many of these advertisements make this situation seem like the insurmountable toughest adversity you will have in your life. It can be quite intimidating. The first thing you do is try to figure out your situation and talk to anyone that has gone through the process. The next thing you realize is EVERYONE has a different story and take on how things will play out for you. After a few days of trying to figure this thing out (and I am well educated) I realized that this was going to be over my head and there was just too much to know. I proceeded to research top attorneys with this specialty and interview three of them.
After my interviews it was painfully obvious Amy was going to be the attorney for me. She answered my 1,00,000 questions and always got back to me within 24 hours. She was great to work with and I imagine she is great for the opposition to work with as well. (this is probably an important variable).
She was able to plea my case to the best possible outcome in my estimation. I know this because there were people in the mandatory education classes that you (the reader) may soon learn about that had lesser Blood Alcohol levels with a far worse penalty. Most realistic best case scenario the end result that you are looking for and that is what I got.
Moreover were the insights and knowledge she was able to help me with that I would never have known about IE (how to request your suspension to start a certain time that is most convenient, the process of getting your licensee back, how to navigate the DMV hearing, how to find a certified DUI education class, etc etc etc.
The law is the law in the end but to have an attorney that is sensitive to your anxiety over this situation and has the experience to give you sound advice and guidance is HUGE. I can't imagine anyone could have handled my situation and my personality better than Amy did. She was worth her fee to say the least.

Without a doubt Amy has exceeded my expectations. The DUI process can be a long, frustrating, and confusing process. Amy was there to answer ALL and I mean ALL of my questions. She will always get back to you in a timely manner, available by phone or email.
This was my second DUI and I thought my life was officially over. I talked to at least 5 DUI lawyers and then I found Amy. After talking to Amy on the phone I pretty much hired her on the spot. She listened to me and clearly explained everything. My case did have some complexities and Amy never gave me false hopes about what I could be charged with. My charges were significantly reduced and I never lost my license.
Even now, my case is over and little questions pop up. I know I can email or call Amy just to ask or confirm a question and she will always be happy to help. If you are questioning whether or not you need a lawyer for this situation, hands down this was the best money I ever spent.

I cannot speak highly enough about Amy Morrel and how well she handled my DUI case. She always had time to speak with me and was never rushed during our meetings. She explained everything in great detail, answered every question, and gave me the peace of mind that if there could be a positive result in my case that she had the strategy that could win.
Her and her staff kept me up to date throughout the 5 month long process. I turned the whole thing over to her and went about my life.
I should note that I have never met Amy in person. I found her law firm through a web search. We had meetings over the phone and communicated via postal mail and email.
I did win my DMV hearing. But I would have made these comments regardless. She is an excellent attorney in my opinion and very up to date on current DUI case law.
Thank you Amy and I hope to never have to call you again!
