I'm a LLLT, a Limited Licensed Legal Technician, not an attorney. I let AVVO know they got it wrong but they were happy to have me. So in compliance with APR 28, I hereby correct any misperception that I am attorney.
I am a mom of 3 fabulous teenagers who tried (for years) to divorce their Dad only to see what can happen to the lesser funded parent despite having superior facts.
Trained as an economist originally, that (morbidly) fascinated me.
So after my last venture was acquired for the benefit of Microsoft (see MetaJiva Corporation), I did the LLLT and got to work leveling the playing field for families who need help who are trying to avoid spending themselves out of their housing or retirements.
That was 7 years ago. I've built and (sometimes) sold software companies all my career, and this one is my head and shoulders favorite! I know there has to be a better way to serve families than to sort parents into winners and losers and cause an enormity of grief.
Today, MLPS' (My Legal Pit Stop, Legal Technicians') emerging solutions power 75 transparently priced, flat fee family law solutions that people can use to help themselves to the labarynth that is the law, with or without the help of lawyers. We're also developing "digital batons" to enable safe hand-offs between self represented litigants, their chosen LLLTs and/or Attorneys, and other providers like process servers and commercial print shops near court houses all over the state. We are about to rebrand as a pure software back end with a veneer of consulting on top.
We won't ask you for trust deposits, you can pay as you go or make monthly payments as low as $100 (limits apply).
Why? Because this stuff is supposed to about the facts, not the available funds.

Namaste, Thank you.

Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
