Thank God for Julie A. Twyford!

My daughter came to Julie A. Twyford regarding a divorce and custody case after working with a lawyer that made her anxious and gave poor advise. (My daughter wanted to move with her 5 year old daughter to Canada following the divorce/for financial and emotional support. As grandparents we had sup...ported our granddaughter financially since birth and had visited her for a week each month.) Julie Twyford reviewed the case from the other lawyer and relieved my daughter's anxiety. She gave constructive guidance and realistic encouragement as to the procedures needed to gain the resulting move. At the time of the court date Julie Twyford made sure that the appearance was before the judge she considered most appreciative of the plea of moving out of the country. She also helped us be patient with the procedure to meet the judges schedule. Due to how Julie Twyford presented the case to the court, after three days of trial and an hour and half decision read by the judge, the decision was in favor of the move. (The alternative would have been extreme hardship and poverty for our daughter and granddaughter. ) We do thank God for Julie Twyford's help and the judge for his consideration of our daughter's plight. The fees Julie Twyfod requested from us took into consideration our financial situation. For this we are extremely grateful.

A truly worthy criminal counsel

When a friend and family members were being bullied by the Spokane PD, Julie stood up and took care of business. She has been around long enough to know what is what and how to assure a client's survival when caught in a horribly unjust criminal system. I trust her with my life.

Looking for deep clients' pockets

I was thorough in submitting complex paperwork. Legal documents sent for my review had many errors I had to correct at my cost. She got me a temporary order and used almost $5k just for that. Then wanted more money. She never sent me the court forms or explained the paperwork process then all commu...nication dropped off right before court date. I downloaded all the forms myself, completed them, did zoom with judge and legal separation done.

Not the outcome I had hoped for

After consulting with this office, being told that they would review my case, I finally got a call a week later and told that their case load was too heavy and that I had to go somewhere else to end my abusive marriage. This is before I found out through this website that they are accepting new clien...ts. Overall, would not recommend or hire this firm to anyone who needs help.

I am sorry to hear that you did not receive the outcome you had hoped for. Unfortunately at the time of your call we had many emergencies for our current clients and were unable to accommodate such a complex case that needed immediate attention. Family law ebbs and flows at times, and we are unable to take cases periodically. By taking a case we cannot give 110% to, we would be doing all of our current clients a disservice and also you a serious disservice. We wish you the best of luck in the future.

Worst experience

My divorce case was handled so poorly that it's hard to know where to start. Communication was terrible. The lack of professionalism was shocking. Calls and emails not returned. Blew through the retainer and wanted more. In the end, my ex spouse was able to go into court on his own and have the judge... sign a divorce decree, without my involvement. I had called the law office several times to warn that he had told me he would do that, but the legal assistant told me not to worry, that couldn't happen... well it did.... I would never recommend this office
